In the course of the construction work for the six-lane expansion of the A3 between the Biebelried and Fürth / Erlangen interchanges, preparations for expanding the Autobahn in the Höchstadt area begin. The BW 360e underpass, which takes the B 470 under the Autobahn at the Höchstadt-Ost junction, will be demolished and rebuilt in several stages as part of the expansion. As the A3 Nordbayern GmbH & Co. KG explains, the junction and the B 470 can be kept available for traffic subject to several short-term closures.
In the following work step, a static support structure is erected under the partial structure that carries the Frankfurt / Main lane. With the help of this support structure, the structure will be strengthened, since during the expansion of the Nuremberg-direction lane all motorway traffic will be handled via the Frankfurt/Main lane.
For this purpose, the B 470 in the area of the structure must be closed from August 4th, 2023 at around 8:00 p.m. to approximately August 7th, 2023 at approximately 6:00 a.m. and from August 11th, 2023 at approximately 8:00 p.m. to approximately August 16th, 2023 at approximately 06:00 a.m. will be fully closed.
Road users coming from Forchheim can drive onto the A3 motorway in the direction of Würzburg without hindrance. Likewise, road users coming from Höchstadt can drive unhindered onto the BAB A3 in the direction of Nuremberg.
Road users who want to drive on the B 470 from Forchheim to Höchstadt or in the direction of Nuremberg onto the A3 motorway are routed via the U2 diversion route via Neuhaus and Buch to Gremsdorf and can continue there on the B 470 in the direction of Forchheim or via Drive onto the BAB A3 at the Höchstadt-Ost junction in the direction of Nuremberg.
Road users coming from the direction of Nuremberg and leaving the motorway at the junction with the destination Höchstadt will be diverted via the parallel U84.
Road users who want to drive on the B 470 from Höchstadt to Forchheim or in the direction of Würzburg on the BAB A3 are routed from Gremsdorf via the U1 diversion route via Buch and Neuhaus in the direction of Adelsdorf and can then return to the B 470 in the direction of Forchheim or drive onto the BAB A3 via the Höchstadt-Ost junction in the direction of Würzburg.
Road users coming from the direction of Würzburg leaving the motorway at the junction with the destination Forchheim will be diverted via the parallel U17.
