13-year-old teenager is shot in the neck in the Bronx after a dispute – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK – A 13-year-old teenager was shot in the neck during a confrontation on a Bronx street Tuesday morning, police said.

Police said the incident occurred between E. 223rd St and Bronxwood Avenue after 7 am, after the victim became involved in a dispute with the attacker and he drew a gun and shot him.

The minor was taken to the Jacobi Medical Center and is expected to recover.

The gunman was identified as Hubert Wiggs, 36, who was on probation and was taken into custody at the scene, according to police.

A revolver was recovered at the scene.

The charges were not immediately announced. It is unknown if the suspect has a lawyer.
