Chief Constitutional Court (MK) Suhartoyo prohibited the petitioners, namely camp 01 Anies-Muhaimin and camp 03 Ganjar-Mahfud from asking four minister President Joko Widodo who will be presented at the presidential election dispute trial.

The four ministers in question are Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati and Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini.

Suhartoyo said that the summons of Jokowi’s four ministers was the result of an agreement between the judges, not in the interests of camps 01 and 03.

“Because this is information requested by the court, we will not provide time for the parties to ask questions. So the judges will do the in-depth investigation,” said Suhartoyo at the 2024 Presidential Election Results Dispute Hearing at the Constitutional Court Building, Jakarta, Monday (1/4) .

Suhartoyo stated that the summons of the four ministers was scheduled for the presidential election dispute hearing on Friday (5/4). Apart from the minister, the MK also felt the need to summon parties from the DKPP.

Suhartoyo also emphasized that the decision to include the five parties had nothing to do with the Constitutional Court’s partiality towards the petitioners, namely camp 01 Anies-Muhaimin and Ganjar-Mahfud.

“So the five that are categorized as important to be heard by the court does not mean that the court will accommodate the requests of applicants 1 or 2,” he said.

“These parties are considered important to be heard at the trial which hopefully can be heard on Friday the 5th,” he added.

Previously, Anies-Muhaimin (AMIN) attorney Ari Yusuf Amir asked the Constitutional Court (MK) to present four ministers as witnesses in the trial of the general election results dispute (PHPU) or the 2024 presidential election dispute.

The four ministers in question are Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan and Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto.

On the same occasion, the Ganjar-Mahfud Legal Team also supported the AMIN Team’s request regarding ministers who needed to be presented as witnesses.

This was conveyed by Ganjar-Mahfud’s attorney, Todung Mulya Lubis during the trial.

“We support the proposal from applicant 1. But if the panel of judges considers it impossible, we accept the panel’s wisdom,” said Todung.
