Conegliano, reopening of gyms and fitness centers. Antoniazzi (Anif Veneto): “We ask for more sustainable rules”

They are discussing the guidelines for the reopening of gyms and fitness centers, contained in a document proposed by the Ministry of Sport and validated by the Technical Scientific Committee.

This is a new protocol that the new government could decide to apply starting from next March 6, once the decree signed by the former premier has expired. Giuseppe Conte last January 16th.

Guidelines that provide for the resumption of sports activities in stages, initially starting only from individual lessons, to allow all those people suffering from chronic diseases to return to physical activity and, at the same time, avoid the risk of gatherings.

No more showers and the use of changing rooms, with the absolute obligation to put used clothes directly in their backpacks and bags, the obligation of interpersonal distance equal to two meters and a space of ten square meters per person allowed in the pool: they are only some of the new rules for the reopening, which however do not convince the professionals of the sector.

Not convinced is also Anif Eurowelness, a national trade association which, in recent days, has reported a loss in turnover equal to 70 percent for the sector and requested a restart other than that which has been proposed.

To be heard there is also Andrea Antoniazzi, owner of a gym in Conegliano and Vittorio Veneto, in the role of Venetian delegate for Anif who, in recent months, had made no secret of the difficulties experienced by realities like his in this period: “We in the sector consider ourselves closed from 8 March 2020, because the reopening took place in June, July and August, a period previously considered low season“.

“In September, with the reopening of the schools, the season had started again, but we had to close again in mid-October. – he continued – If we are asked to offer only individual workouts, it is not even worth reopening, because we managers ask to do it in a way that is economically sustainable.“.

According to reports from Antoniazzi, the category would not have been helped in this period of closure but, in the meantime, expenses and bills continued to arrive.

In recent days, Antoniazzi himself had published on social media the image of two bills received, despite the closure of his centers and the shutdown of the meters for months, of the amount respectively of 224.30 and 301.56 euros.

A situation, that of the category of gyms and fintess centers, which Antoniazzi, and others like him, continue to report to receive help.
