Concerts Spotify: the renowned music streaming platform is ready for its shows in pandemic

The Swedish multiplatform Spotify will broadcast five virtual concerts starting this May 27.

The streaming music giant has announced a series of shows to take place starting later this month, acknowledging that the global live music industry is still a long way from getting back to normal. And it is that Spotify concerts appear as oxygen to COVID-19.

Soon to launch a hi-fi service, Spotify announced the five virtual events as an “intimate” way for musicians and fans to connect securely, allowing artists to choose the location for this pre-recorded show. The so-called “Livestreaming” will last between 40 and 75 minutes and, as it is not really live, it can be enjoyed in various time zones. Of course, it can only be viewed during the specified time for which you have purchased the virtual ticket.

Admission to each of the performances will cost $ 15 (or the equivalent in local currency) and users will need a Spotify account of any level to gain access.

This first series of concerts will run from May to June. Tickets are now available at spotify.live.

Here is the schedule for the Spotify concerts:
