A model Cristina Vita Aranda was shot dead at a concert in Paraguay, Tuesday (1/2) local time. Cristina is also known to be the wife of Paraguay’s top footballer, Ivan Torres.
Cristina died shortly after being rushed to a local hospital. Cristina was carried to the hospital by several people, including her husband. Cristina and Ivan have recently been rumored to be divorcing.
“He was intubated when he arrived and efforts were made to resuscitate him for at least 25 minutes after he had a heart attack,” Yolanda Gonzale, director of the Itaugua Nacional Hospital, told Mirror UK on Tuesday (1/2).
“He died after a long attempt to save his life.”
Cristina is said to have been caught in the crossfire in the VIP area of the concert hall in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay. In that incident, Cristina was not alone. Four other people were also shot.
“Four people aged between 23 and 40 were also shot and treated for their injuries in hospital today,” the Mirror UK reported on Tuesday (1/2).
In a local TV show, one of the victims was carried out of the amphitheater on a stretcher by security guards and paramedics.
Meanwhile a man who also appeared to be injured was guided towards the exit by two men who helped him walk.
