In Nuevo Leon, 70 percent of children do not have the complete scheme of vaccination, revealed the Secretary of State Health, Alma Rosa Marroquín Escamilla, who stressed that vaccination is definitely an issue that worries them, because the percentages have decreased in general terms throughout the country.

“The most important thing is prevention and care is in each one of us, and especially in the most vulnerable people, who are the elderly, children and people with comorbidities.

However, he reiterated that there were no patients in intensive care and those who required hospitalization were ambulatory.

“This month we reached 15 or 20 cases, all outpatients, our hospitalizations have remained between zero and three throughout the state, not patients in intensive care,” he said.

State projects a new children’s hospital

The project, he added, is part of the state strategy to have more and better hospital infrastructure.

“We are working on many new projects, in general terms the population is growing and the demand for care is growing throughout the state, which is why we have greatly promoted the development of infrastructure, to have more hospitals and to have better units.

“And we are working there on a project to build a new children’s hospital and that the Maternal and Child Hospital can expand its attention to pregnant women, in general, to women,” he said.
