If you find that managing your Apple accessories is currently too complicated or at least lacking in simplicity, this concept is for you. Here is an Accessories application which, as its name suggests, allows you to group together all your accessories in one place, practical, isn’t it?
A HomeKit with Apple accessories sauce
The years go by and Apple continues to expand its range in terms of accessories. To make a quick list we have for example AirPods Max, HomePods, AirPods, AirPods Pro, Apple Watch, wireless charging case … We can even go further if we look at Mac and iPad accessories with la Magic Mouse, le Magic Keyboard, l’Apple Pencil… Currently, each object is connected to the iPhone / iPad or to the Mac in its own way with, for example, a dedicated application for the Watch App, or access to the settings in the Bluetooth category for AirPods, in short l ergonomics could be greatly improved.
Here is a nice concept of application called “Accessories” proposed by Parker Ortolani for 9to5Mac that Apple could offer in the future in order to simplify the lives of its users. As you can see in the photos, the application would allow you to view and manage all your Apple connected objects in one place. In addition, with iOS 14 this could allow adding widgets for each accessory with its own current battery percentage.
The “Accessories” application would also list all compatible products and it would be equipped with a “help” menu on which you receive connection instructions when you click on the accessory in question.
Going even further, we can even imagine that the iPhone application allows you to manage Mac accessories and why not modify the settings of your Magic Keyboard …
Over time, the Cupertino company may offer us even more accessories than there are already, that’s why this kind of application could be interesting especially as the concept of being able to modify everything in one and same place is a concept that Apple loves very much. To see if Apple plans to draw inspiration from it one day.
