This is not the first time that the business association has called for mandatory vaccination. In October 2021, the National Federation of Human Management (Acrip) said that 4 out of 10 companies in Colombia they would agree to require the full vaccination card of their employees.

The problem no longer lies in the number of vaccines available to the population, but in the indecision and/or lack of interest of some people to get vaccinated, something that, of course, impacts the immunization plans that companies have“, assured Gladis Vega, president of Acrip, at that time.

The Acrip analysis, after a survey of 100 large companies in the country, revealed that at least 15% would be willing not to renew the contract of an employee who refuses to be vaccinated.

“In companies it is very important to continue fighting to persuade people who do not want to be vaccinated to become aware of the risks,” says Gladys Vega.
