The national high school basketball winter tournament “SoftBank Winter Cup 2022” (the 75th national high school basketball tournament in 2022) will be held in Tokyo from December 23 to 29. A total of 120 teams, 60 men’s and women’s teams from all over the country, will compete for the top of the high school basketball world for 7 days.
Here we will update the schedule, results and scores of all men’s and women’s matches as needed.
Highlights of Matchday 2 (December 24)
The men’s first round and women’s second round matches will be held from 9:00 am at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium and Ota Ward General Gymnasium. In the men’s event, last year’s champion Ohori assigned to Fukuoka University (Fukuoka) will play against Yuta Watanabe’s alma mater Jinsei Gakuen (Kagawa), known as the “big game eater”. Seeded schools such as Kyoto Seika Gakuen (Kyoto), the winner of the inter-high school, and Osaka Kaoruei Jogakuin (Osaka), the runner-up, will appear for girls.
