Complaint of nullity by Peter Seisenbacher before rejection

After Peter Seisenbacher’s appeal for annulment of his judgment, the General Procuratorate recommended that the Supreme Court (OGH) reject it.

The judo double Olympic champion had lodged an appeal for annulment and appeal against the judgment of the Vienna Regional Court, which had given him five years’ imprisonment in early December for serious sexual abuse of minors.

As stated in the Ö1 evening journal, the general procurator’s statement was issued to the OGH and Seisenbacher’s lawyers.

If the OGH follows the recommendation, the Vienna Higher Regional Court must next decide on the sentence. No date has yet been set for when the Supreme Court (OGH) will deal with the cause.

Guilty verdict in December

Last December, after two days of negotiations, a lay councilor came to the conclusion that Seisenbacher – after his active career – had abused two underage girls as a coach in a Viennese judo club.

In one case, it was a 13-year-old, who Seisenbacher is said to have approached, the second abuse lasted for several years, according to the non-final judgment.

When Seisenbacher violated the sexual integrity of those affected, she was nine years old. The ex-judoka was also convicted because he is said to have harassed a 16-year-old during a summer judo camp. According to her description, this warded him off. This process was classified by the first court as an abuse of an authority relationship.
