PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) adds time frame guarantee from one year to five years. However, long before them, PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) first provided a frame guarantee for the same duration.
Even though both are five years, the frame warranties offered by Honda and Yamaha are actually different. First, the guarantee offered by Honda applies to all models, namely automatic, duck and sport scooters. Meanwhile, Yamaha is only for automatic scooters.
This means that the five-year frame guarantee offered by Yamaha covers the Maxi class (Nmax, Xmax, Aerox, Lexi), then Classy (Grand Filano, Fazzio), and other scooter models such as Mio M3, FreeGo, .

Not only that, another difference lies in the distance traveled. If Honda offers a five-year frame guarantee without distance limits, then Yamaha only offers an interval of 50 thousand kilometers.
However, outside the frame, Honda motorbike warranties are still limited by distance, for example PGM-FI injection components for 60,000 km (five years). Then the engine guarantee is 36,000 km (three years), and the electrical guarantee is 12,000 km (one year).

Executive Vice President of PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM), Thomas Wijaya, revealed the reason why his party provides a five-year frame guarantee for all models and without distance limits. According to him, this is all to make consumers calm.
“We want to guarantee product quality to consumers, we want to guarantee their comfort and safety. So with good quality, we can also provide guarantees for all types,” said Thomas when met in South Tangerang.
“We are sure that the quality of our frame is actually good, that’s all that remains (to provide a sense of security to consumers),” he added.
