Communication Festival, “Hopes” to avoid the abyss. The 2024 award goes to Gerry Scotti

“Hopes” is the theme chosen for the 11th edition of Communication Festival scheduled in Camogli from 12 to 15 September 2024. The presentation this morning at the headquarters of Banca Passadore in Genoa, among the supporters of the event. “In a historical moment in which, from the most distant places to the closest ones – explains Danco Singer, director of the Festival – reasons for concern increase, our way of offering hope passes through culture in all its forms, through dialogue, discussion and reflection, for a celebration of culture that looks to the future with a constructive, proactive, concrete and positive attitude”.

“Hopes in the plural – added the director Rosangela Bonsignorio – because we wish there were more than one. Listening to hope more than fear is perhaps the only way to avoid falling into the abyss”. The Festival will open with a trio of lectios brought to the stage by Aldo Cazzullo, Sahra Talamo and Nello Cristianini. The grand finale will be with Gerry Scottiwho will receive the 2024 Communication Award.

“A journalist’s thanks to the Communication Festival – said Jessica Nicolini, coordinator of cultural policies of the Liguria Region – the first event that gave dignity to communication, transforming it from a tool to a concept of creativity”. This year’s Communication Festival “will not only be a space of excellence in our city – said Giovanni Anelli, mayor of Camogli – but will strengthen the prestige achieved in ten years, becoming a point of reference at a national level for those who wish to attend unique cultural encounters with leading personalities”.

Wanted and created by Umberto Eco, the festival is organized by Frame and the Municipality of Camogli in collaboration with the Liguria Region, UniGe, the National Institute of Nuclear Physics and IiT. It will offer collateral initiatives of entertainment, theatre, excursions and events for schools.
