A car hit a street light pole this late Saturday afternoon at Bd Winston Churchill in Tours. Result: it was necessary to order its withdrawal so that it does not collapse and therefore cut off circulation.

Fire in Sud-Touraine…

This Saturday afternoon, an agricultural shed filled with straw caught fire in the town of Verneuil-sur-Indre. 200m² have been destroyed. One person was slightly injured while trying to put out the flames. 23 firefighters were called to intervene.

Another striking fire occurred in the night from Friday to Saturday: it was around 1:30 am in an apartment on Rue Edouard Branly in Joué-lès-Tours. The two occupants of the accommodation were transported to the hospital after inhaling smoke. 23 firefighters were mobilized.

New in Chédigny…

An associative wine and refreshment bar called Chez Jeanne has just opened in one of the most beautiful villages in Touraine dedicated to roses. It will be open every weekend in the summer with traditional Touraine grape varieties, fruit juices or plates of local products on its menu. 6 associations of the municipality are involved. All this on the Place de la Mairie from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
