The discotheque where a minor was shot to death will see its commercial patent expired by the Municipality of Los Angeles, Bío Bío region.

The Municipality of Los Angeles, Bío Bío region, announced that the commercial patent for the KnockOut discotheque will expire, where the homicide of a minor occurred student of the Don Orione School.

The decision was made by the councilors and the mayor Esteban Krause in the session of the Municipal Council this Tuesday, Two days after the crime of the 17-year-old high school student.

It should be remembered that the same day of the events, the nightclub announced that it would remain closed for undefined time.

Faced with the closure announcement, councilor Daniel Badilla (RN) explained that there would have been a sublease of the municipal license granted for a 10-year term and that allowed them to function.

To this, he added that in the review carried out by the legal team of the municipality no request found of exchange of patent or its sublease.


According to the councilor, the commercial patent had been renewed last March 31being initially granted for 10 years on January 1, 2020 with the possibility of automatic renewal.

For his part, the mayor of Los Angeles, Esteban Krause, said that it is a serious fact the entrance to enclosures for adults and sale of alcohol to minors.

On the day of the minor’s homicide, the KnockOut Club publicly stated that it will remain closed indefinitely and that it will maintain an attentive and collaborative attitude so that justice is done.
