Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky’s Actions on the Eastern Front

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky continues to work on the Eastern Front.

As Sirsky noted in Telegramwithin three days it became clear to him why, with the same manning levels of personnel, weapons and military equipment, some brigades managed to restrain enemy attacks and hold positions, while others did not.

First of all, this depends on the professionalism of the brigade commander and the level of training of the headquarters through which the commander exercises his powers.

“Therefore, I sent groups of specialists to individual brigades where there are problems with the preparation of headquarters to transfer experience and provide assistance. Based on the results of hearing the brigade commanders and their deputies, all the necessary decisions were made regarding the provision of reserves, ammunition, UAVs and other equipment. In In some cases, when the commander does not control the situation, and actions and commands directly create a threat to the life and health of subordinates, I am forced to make personnel decisions,” Syrsky noted.

The Commander-in-Chief noted the actions of the servicemen of the 54th infantry brigade, who, with accurate artillery fire in combination with competent mining, destroyed two columns of enemy armored vehicles, the fortitude and courage of the soldiers of the 25th infantry brigade and the 47th infantry brigade in the battles for Orlovka and Berdichi, the determination and courage of the soldiers of the 79th airborne brigade during repelling enemy attacks in Novomikhailovka area.

“I note as positive the replacement of one brigade at the front line after two years of continuous fighting and moving to the rear to restore combat effectiveness. Thus, the situation at the front remains difficult, but controllable,” Syrsky noted.
