Colors and sounds of modernism

The string quartet ALMA together with the Digital Art House invites you to delve into the age of modernism: the musical works performed by the famous quartet will give new sounds and significance to the works of famous artists in the project “Colors and Sounds of Modernism”.

The event will take place on December 16 in the premises of Digital Art House – an art space where art comes to life (Skolas Street 2).

Every project offered by Digital Art House is always a magical combination of music and painting. This time, on the eve of Christmas, the audience of the concert “Colors and Sounds of Modernism” will be able to delve into the world of magic music by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Sergei Prokofiev, Sergei Rachmaninov, Samuel Barber, performed by the string quartet ALMA, while enjoying the world-famous master Monet Burned, Modigliani, Munka – exciting projections of paintings.

We are always happy to work with Digital Art House, so when we were offered to supplement the Modernist exhibition with live music, we gladly agreed. It is a shocking idea to imagine composers and painters of the same era, like-minded people, friends in one concert. And we, together with our talented colleagues, will cope with this task, ”says the quartet’s artistic director. Anna Salnit.

The ALMA Quartet’s concert programs are distinguished by their high-level performance art and artistic taste. They come together to combine chamber music traditions, young people’s fun and love for their work, says the author and producer of the idea, Roman Morozov.

The string quartet ALMA was founded in 2013. Anna Salnit, the quartet’s first violin, was the inspiration and artistic director of the ensemble.
The artists of the ensemble – winners of international competitions – pay a lot of attention to chamber music, as well as play in leading orchestras of European countries, participate in solo projects.
The quartet has an active creative life: they play solo concerts, participate in cultural events and festivals, and travel regularly in Europe. One of the ensemble’s long-standing traditions is concert tours of German cities. The artists pay a lot of attention to the works of Russian composers.
