Colomiers. This year, a Carnival more masked than ever

The Federation Associative Columérine (FAC) is offering this year a Carnival “in Covid sauce”, simmered in partnership with the City of Colomiers and the Citizen’s Houses, schools, ALAE, as well as all the columérines associations that will be willing to join in.

This Carnival of a new type is placed under the sign of the mask of course, with one imperative: it must be artisanal, therefore “homemade”, and cover at least mouth and nose!

Members and associative volunteers are thus invited to make their masks, or even their entire outfit, then to photograph themselves or have themselves photographed, alone, or in groups of up to 6 people. They will then have to select their best photos and send them to the FAC (which will take into account 4 photos maximum per association). These can be limited to faces, or present an entire costume, or a group. All the photos transmitted will be included in a slide show which will be widely distributed on social networks and on the site of the city of Colomiers. But as Carnival is also and above all a “street party”, a selection of these photos will also be displayed in large format on all the columérins panels: “This will be the form of our carnival parade 2021! will make it possible to celebrate Carnival in the streets, throughout the month of March AND while respecting the sanitary measures of the moment! ” rightly underline the president of the FAC – Christophe Cassou – and his Office.

The photographers of the Colomiers Contraste section of the Club Loisirs Léo Lagrange de Colomiers will also offer their services: from February 22 to 27, the revelers will be able to “have their portrait taken” at the Hall Comminges, or on site in their premises (guaranteeing respect health rules in force of course). To do this, they will have to make an appointment with Cécile, the facilitator of the FAC.
