Colomiers. Start-to-school report in municipal nurseries

Karine Traval-Michelet, mayor of Colomiers, accompanied in particular by Marie-Christine Chanchorle, municipal councilor responsible for early childhood, Elisabeth Aviles, responsible for early childhood in the town hall and her deputy, Sophie Laverdunt went, last Friday, meet the teams working in the nurseries.

The city has seven municipal day nurseries (Parc, Naspe, Hélène-Boucher, Château d’Eau, Val d’Aran, Pyrénées and Perget) for which 302 amenities can accommodate 371 children from 0 to 3 years old.

The visit began at the Parc crèche. Located on the former site of the Paul Bert elementary school since 2018, it replaced the Seycheron crèche. The elected representative in charge of early childhood takes stock since the start of the school year.

“Meeting the teaching teams, answering their questions, being present is essential.” explains Marie-Christine Chanchorle.

The town also has an early childhood center. It hosts a child-parent childcare center as well as a relay for childminders.

The visit continued at the Perget crèche.
