Colomiers. A year marked by trips to Quebec

the essential
After two years of interruption due to Covid, summer jobs resume this summer in Quebec. You must register before January 14.

Since 2016, the City of Colomiers has supported the international mobility of young people, through the Summer Job in Quebec operation, in partnership with Victoriaville, Colomiers’ twin municipality in Canada. This exchange is carried out within the framework of the Intermunicipalities program piloted by the Association France Québec.

Each year, around ten young people between the ages of 18 and 26 take part in it on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, benefiting from seasonal employment within the municipal services of Colomiers or Victoriaville.

“After two blank years, where we were forced to cancel this action because of the health context, we sincerely hope to be able to maintain it in 2022”, recalls Karine Traval-Michelet, mayor of Colomiers. “Through this system, we are pursuing several objectives such as promoting the professional experience of young Columérines and Victoriavillois, familiarizing young people with administrative procedures, developing their autonomy, arousing the desire of young people to open up to the world and enrich their intercultural knowledge. “
