The Colombian Efraín Zabaleta López, who was traveling with his countryman Lurvis Vence Jiménez, killed in a shootout recorded on a bus in California, United States, says she pretended to be dead, thinking they would kill them all.
Zabaleta, who traveled to visit his son and granddaughter, recounts the moments of anguish and horror experienced in the early hours of Monday, when they first took a bus from the Greyhound company, from San Diego to San Francisco, changing vehicles in Los Angeles, a city where the stranger who caused the tragedy apparently rose.

This was the first time Efrain and Lurvis traveled together. They left on Saturday from their homeland the municipality of El Molino, in the south of La Guajira to Bogotá, and then take a flight, on Sunday morning, to Mexico City and then to Tijuana, where they continued their road trip to the United States.
