Colombia received a new batch of 2.1 million vaccines from Sinovac | Present

In the last hours, 2.1 million vaccines from the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac arrived in Colombia, through the Covax mechanism. These doses They will be destined for first and second doses for boys and girls between 3 and 11 years old.

According to the Vice Minister of Public Health and Provision of Services, Germán Escobar, the arrival of this new batch It is the first delivery of three shipments that will be made before the end of the year and that will add 6.3 million vaccines from this pharmaceutical company.

Escobar assured that these doses will go to minors because “they have a high security, given the platform that have scientifically evidenced a good behavior and profile in the pediatric population ”.

It should be noted that with this new batch, Colombia has received 79,780,304 doses of vaccines against COVID-19.

In total, 63,187,778 doses have been applied against COVID-19 in the country. 27,580,721 people have their complete vaccination schedule and 2,830,428 citizens have received booster doses.
