“Collecting leaves requires cleaning”; Undressed including underwear; Guest workers are blocked Theft | Migrant workers | Manorama News | Kerala News | News from Kerala

Yesterday morning, a Malayali man called four guest workers at a temple in Thriprayar. He took off his underwear, saying he wanted to get clean because he was going to the temple. The workers, wearing only braces, were carried to the top of the hill by the side of the road.

They just looked down as they plucked the leaves. They found the work caller diving with clothes, 2 mobile phones worth Rs 16,000 and cash. Workers said he quickly descended from the top of the rock, but by then he had passed out. The clothes were later found abandoned on the side of the road.

When they reached Walapad station, Inspector KS A Sushant was given his telephone number. Called but no one answered. The SIM card is in the name of Vinod who is originally from Jharkhand. Police have launched an investigation to catch the person who defrauded the guest workers.
