For now, the hypothesis of a gas explosion is still favored.
Investigations are continuing to try to determine the causes of the violent explosion which caused the collapse of a building and the death of an 88-year-old woman, last Saturday, rue Borie, in the Chartrons district.
This Wednesday, police officers from the departmental security unit, seized of the investigation, were able to question the companion of the deceased and owner of the building who was himself injured. A hearing held at the hospital where the octogenarian is still located.
For now, the hypothesis of a gas explosion is still favored. The building had not been connected to the town gas network since 2013. Gas cylinders were discovered in the rubble. What were they doing there? Do they have a link with the drama? This is one of the points that the investigation must clarify. A judicial expert report was also ordered by the courts.
