Cold war, zombies, warzone in Russia and no Gunsmith

More rumors have surfaced about this year’s call-of-duty part (Reddit, Charlie Intel). The information comes from a video from YouTuber XclusiveAce, which has meanwhile been made private. His source claims to have shown him pictures, maps and videos from the game. The source will most likely be a quality assurance person. The final name of the game is still “secret”.

Call of Duty 2020 is mainly developed by Treyarch (Black Ops series) and is located in the “Cold War”. The shooter will include a story campaign, a zombies mode, the traditional 6v6 multiplayer mode and a new map (location: Russia) for Call of Duty: Warzone. It is scheduled for release in September 2020, but could be postponed to October / November. The campaign is already fully playable, but some animations and voice recordings are still missing. The multiplayer maps are in good condition, apart from some bugs and missing textures.

There will be a classic mini-map (like before the Modern Warfare titles) and a compass. You will also be able to swim again. There is said to be a large lake on the new Warzone map. You will be able to sprint permanently. Backrests and arms are deleted. There will be no doors to open on normal multiplayer maps. In Warzone, however, yes. In normal multiplayer mode you will have 150 life points (like in Black Ops 4). There was also talk of an automatic healing function. The new “Create-a-Class function” is described as a mixture of Pick-10 and the classic game (no specialists, but something like field upgrades). So far there is no trace of the Gunsmith. The same applies to gunfight mode. In addition to the 6v6 battles, there will likely be a larger game mode that will take place on parts of the Warzone map.

The shooter has not yet been officially announced, so the details should be treated with caution.
