Even though the thermometer has dropped sharply in recent weeks after the hottest October on record, we are still holding out to significantly limit our gas consumption. According to data from the gas network operator Fluxys, Belgian households and SMEs bought a third less gas in the first three weeks of November than in the same period last year. If we also include companies, this month’s savings amount to 4,129 gigawatt hours of gas, or about one billion euros.
