The risk of infection with seasonal flu, similar in symptoms to the Corona virus, increases with the advent of the autumn and winter seasons, as previously pointed out by Dr. Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President for Health Affairs.

And the danger lies in the infection with colds and acute respiratory viral infections, and at the same time they are accompanied by corona infection, which leads to the failure of some organs in the body of the infected person and the simultaneous infection with these two diseases can cause l ‘interruption of the work of some organs,

But when you have a cold or just an allergy or just the Corona virus, how can you tell them apart? That’s what University of South Carolina researchers answered, who identified a distinct order of symptoms in “Covid-19” patients: a fever followed by a cough.

On the other hand, for seasonal flu, people generally have a cough before a fever. The common cold is likely to start with a sore throat as its first symptom, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

As for allergies, they appear suddenly and include: itchy eyes, sneezing and runny nose.

Briefly, the early symptoms of each disease can be summarized as follows:

Corona: Fever.

Influenza: cough.

Cold (common cold): sore throat.

Allergies: itchy eyes, sneezing and runny nose, all at once.

The study identifies these symptoms as the first signs that appear in each case.

However, caution should be exercised, as not everyone infected with COVID-19 will develop a fever.

Additionally, some flu patients may not cough, which is why how long it takes for symptoms to appear may be another clue.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has identified the main differences in the appearance of “Covid-19” and flu symptoms.

And “Covid-19” symptoms can take longer to manifest than flu symptoms, up to 5 days after infection.

However, symptoms of COVID-19 can appear as early as two days or up to 14 days after infection.

Flu symptoms can take up to 4 days to appear after infection, and a person is usually contagious the day before symptoms appear. People with flu can remain contagious for up to 7 days after infection.
