The COC equates the statements of Forum for Democracy leader Thierry Baudet with the incidents with homophobic slogans which were sprayed on the COC building and a gym of the Roze Comrades in Rotterdam.

That is what the interest group says after Baudet made it clear during a party meeting on Sunday that he refuses to apologize after he called NPO journalist Joost Vullings gay. He did this because Vullings refused to shake his hand because of the corona rules.

During a meeting in Heerlen, a man asked Baudet whether he has already apologized to Vullings. Baudet has not yet done this. “In retrospect, I should have called him a false niece,” said the FvD leader. The man who asked Baudet the question reacted angrily: ,,I don’t think that’s fun. Here is a real gay man in front of you. Gay is not a swear word.” The conversation was captured on a video that was widely shared on social media on Monday.
