Boston beat the Phoenix Suns, 123-108, on a Friday New Years morning to move up to 17-19. And they did it without Jayson Tatum and Dennis Schroder due to health and safety protocols.
Boston held a 30-point lead over the Suns 27-8 with one minute to halftime.
“We have a history of some track blowing games so I’m not too happy about that” ,? he said.
Phoenix managed to close the gap in the fourth quarter, but the closest was an 11-point deficit in the final minute.
But Boston managed to contain the Scorching Suns, who were led by Devin Booker (22 points).
The victory, Boston’s third in their last eight games, came after Celtics legend Sam Jones died on Thursday at the age of 88.
