A draw and two defeats is what Club América has added in the first 3 games of the Clausura 2022, worse numbers than those achieved in the Clausura 2008 and in the Apertura 2011, tournaments marked as the worst in short tournaments for the Eagles.
With a draw against Puebla and defeats against Atlas and Atlético San Luis, Club América is in 16th place in the General Table with a pending match to play against Mazatlán FC, however, their numbers at the moment are not encouraging at all.
The Clausura 2008 was marked as the most forgettable tournament in the history of Club América and on that occasion, in the first 3 days, the Eagles added 4 points; 3 more than those accumulated at the moment.
The Apertura 2011, another disastrous tournament for the Eagles, also started with 4 points and it was later when the debacle came in both tournaments where the Eagles would only achieve 3 victories in each of the semesters.
In the Clausura 2008, the Eagles finished last in the General Classification, while in the Apertura 2011, they finished penultimate.
The Eagles have a difficult task; take flight in Clausura 2022 but they have time in their favor, since they have only played 3 games and most of the tournament is still up in the air.
