Certain sectors of Toulouse were closed from February 28, given the very high incidence rate that was then observed in Toulouse, and the many static gatherings without respect for physical distancing, or wearing a mask, which had been there. observed the previous days, despite a strengthening of controls.
A week later, the incidence rate dropped slightly but remains very high (246 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants), just below the maximum alert threshold.
Also Étienne Guyot, prefect of the Occitanie region, prefect of Haute-Garonne, and Jean-Luc Moudenc, mayor of Toulouse and president of Toulouse Métropole, have decided to extend the closure of these sectors of Toulouse until Sunday 14 March 2021 at midnight.
This measure will apply to the following sections of public thoroughfare:
• the banks of the Garonne located below Place Saint-Pierre, Quai Saint-Pierre, Quai Lucien Lombard, Quai de la Daurade, Quai de Tounis and corresponding to the Henri Martin promenade,
• the place de la Daurade, • the meadow of the Filters,
• the quay of the Spanish Republican Exile.
The list of places affected by the obligation may be updated according to the evolution of the health situation. Failure to comply with this obligation exposes offenders to a fine of € 135.
