The government is closing down shopping malls. From Saturday, November 7, 2020, the operation of galleries and shopping centers will be significantly limited. Only certain stores will be open, but (which is new in relation to the spring lockdown) a lot of service points. Check in which stores you will be able to shop after November 7, 2020 and which services to use in shopping malls.

Fortunately, the rumors about a complete lockdown of Poland were not confirmed. However, on the day of the record daily number of infections (24,692), i.e. on Tuesday 4.11, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced another serious restrictions that led to a partial lockdown.

One of the industries that will be affected by the latest restrictions is trade.

Since Saturday November 7, 2020 the operation of galleries and shopping centers will be limited. They will not be closed completely, but a lot of stores will not be able to operate.

It will be forbidden to operate in the shopping malls of stores:

  • clothing,
  • footwear,
  • with jewelry,
  • with electronics and household appliances,
  • sports,
  • with home furnishings,
  • with articles for children other than cosmetic,
  • with military items,
  • perfumery
  • bookstore

There will also be no open cinemas, gyms, theater stages, playrooms for children – but that’s everywhere, not only in shopping centers.

Let us remind you that in spring the incomplete lockdown of shopping malls (because grocery stores, drugstores, pharmacies, but not hairdressers or beauty salons) lasted 7 weeks, from March 14 to 3rd of May 2020.

Fewer customers in all stores, depending on their area

From November 7, the number of customers in stores will be limited in the case of small stores (all, not only those in shopping centers).

Trade in stores up to 100 m2:
1 person on a surface of 10 m2

Trade in stores from 100 m2:
1 person on 15 m2 of space

Restrictions related to the number of customers in stores and stores that may be open in shopping malls are to apply until November 29.
