This solid balcony designed in 1950 overlooks the esplanade, on the first level of the castle. You will not fail to admire the impressive beams of its frame designed with oaks from the Tronçais forest. As well as the beautiful view of the city which then begins to reveal itself.
The passageway of the castle was built with oaks from the forest of Tronçais.
Panoramic view of Montluçon, 40 meters high
But serious things are waiting for you at the top. You are now perched on a small square platform, forty meters high. The panorama embraces the whole of the agglomeration and its surroundings, from Néris-les-Bains in the south, to Saint-Victor in the north, passing by the chimney of the Dunlop factories, the Richemont barracks and the Bien-Assis buildings.
View over the city and Place Piquand.
In the foreground, you will overlook the terracotta-tiled roofs of the city center and Place Piquand, extended by Avenue Marx Dormoy.
Most of the visitors are from Montluçonnais. Many had never had the opportunity to see their city from this angle
