Kim Clijsters and Kirsten Flipkens have won the first win of the season in the WTT New York Empire.
Kim Clijsters won 5-0 in singles against American Caty McNally who plays for Springfield Lasers.
Clijsters and Flipkens also won the doubles 5-0, against McNally and Muhammad. New York won 19-16.
It was New York’s first win after five consecutive defeats. The standings remain Clijsters and co last. The competition runs until November 28.
