Clerics in East Java Join Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar Winning Team

A number of clerics in East Java (Jatim) joined the provincial team (Timprov) to win the presidential candidate (Capres) Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar. They came from the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) to Muhammadiyah.

Reported detikJatimMain Steering Committee of the East Java AMIN Provincial Team, Abdul Halim Iskandar, said that there were a number of ulama, kiai, gus included in the structure of the East Java AMIN winning team.

“There is Kiai Muhsin Ghozali from Ponpes Al-Muhsin Tulungagung. There is Kiai Abdussalam Shohin Ponpes Denanyar Jombang,” said Abdul Halim at the Majapahit Hotel Surabaya, Thursday (23/11/2023).

Then, there were figures from Muhammadiyah who joined the East Java AMIN Provincial Team.

“There is Mr. Ali Mu’thi from Muhammadiyah as Co-Captain of the East Java AMIN Provincial Team,” he explained.

Halim, who is the Chair of the East Java PKB DPW, said that the majority of ulama and kiai are included in the management structure of the East Java AMIN Provincial Team in the advisory field.
