Through Decree 000502, the Mayor’s Office of Valledupar declared three civic days during the Vallenata Legend Festival, which begins at the end of this current month.
The civic days will begin on the afternoon of April 30, and on May 2 and 3, which correspond to the business days during the folkloric contest.
Likewise, the municipal administration indicated that public servants, contractors who must attend to contractual process schedules and traffic mobility and public forces are exempt.
Finally, they recalled that the Vallenata Legend Festival is the accordion competition in its different categories along with the parades of pioneers, culminating with the coronation of King Vallenato 2024. Which is defined in the municipality as the maximum cultural event representative of folklore. and the vallenato identity. In an event of national and international stature that brings together the best folklore musicians and composers.
During this cultural event, the presentation of typical vallenato music groups in the professional, amateur, youth and children’s categories is highlighted, which compete by interpreting the typical airs or rhythms of Paseo Merengue Puya and Son.
