City of Bern: Lifeless person discovered in the Aare

Passers-by alerted Kapo Bern after they saw a motionless body floating in the Aare. The background is still unclear.

On Thursday afternoon, Kapo Bern moved out to the mat threshold in front of Bern’s old town. The reason was a motionless body that passers-by had found in the river. As reported by the “Berner Zeitung”, the person could be located before the threshold on the Dalmaziquai side. Any help came too late for the person – the attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful.
