The Minister of Education, Roberto Fulcar, stated this Friday that this institution has 55 citizen chairs that are being taught throughout the country.
“We have already completed the process of training and training of teachers to work these chairs within the framework of the extended day,” he said.
He detailed that the citizen chairs They carry civic content to form values and contain a written text, with a review by the Curriculum Directorate, recorded and guided.
“They are an essential part of the pillars of values of the education model to live better. We have to build in this small territory that is the Dominican Republic a great nation, a loving, committed nation, a nation of peace and harmony”, she indicated.
He said that the objective of the Ministry of Education (Minerd) is not only to invest high school graduatesbut to graduate committed citizens with a sense of belonging to their nation.
The minister spoke in those terms when leading a ceremony at the Minerd headquarters in which he presented the citizen chairs “Matias Ramon Mella” and the National Independence” in the framework of the commemoration of the 206 years of the birth of the patrician Matias Ramon Mella and the 178th anniversary of the National Independence.
“We have endeavored to create the citizen chairs through which we are permeating civic, citizen, patriotic content, to form values, to cultivate democracy”, he maintained.
