Premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, it was honored with several awards and received an enthusiastic public reception. For a few days it can be seen on streaming platforms. A young film student in London becomes involved in a turbulent relationship with a cultured, sophisticated, mysterious and unreliable man. The director designs a desolate portrait of this young artist, a captivating, rigorous and authentic portrait that bewilders or enchants. Hogg screws up the camera and resorts to long sequence shots, some tight and distant movements, and eventually some surrealist approach. One can ignore those lightning bolts but not the spell of a filmmaker with an overwhelming personality.
