A father and two of his three sons died on Christmas morning, December 25, in a fire that broke out in their house.
According to the local fire department, the fire most likely occurred as a result of an electrical fault and a dry Christmas tree.
– The fire started at a Christmas tree, so we are not sure if the fire was due to an electrical fault or a dried old Christmas tree, said the fire inspector in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Doug Wilhelm to CNN Saturday.

The family had a real tree in the house, so the dry tree may have caused the tree to catch fire. Wilhelm emphasizes, however, that it can be difficult to find out what caused the fire because everything is burnt down, he writes ABC News.
Quakertown Police Chief Scott McElree also told ABC News that they are now investigating whether the tree caught fire as a result of the Christmas lights on the tree.
– Great grief
The city’s school district on Saturday posted the tragic message to the local community on their Facebook page.
– It is with great sadness that we share the tragic news that happened this Christmas morning. The King family lost their father and two students at Richland Elementary School in a house fire earlier today, the school district writes on Facebook.
