The action MMO Anthem has to put up with a few sayings on Twitter: BioWare has not yet removed the Christmas decorations from the game in February. Active players defend BioWare against criticism.
This is the reason for the spot: GamesRadar editor Sam Loverdige shared a picture of the Christmas decoration in Anthem on Twitter. He wrote: “I wanted to take a look at Anthem again. The fact that the Christmas decorations still hang there feels even sadder. ”
The tweet has received a lot of attention. The Christmas decoration in February is seen as proof that EA Anthem has given up a bit.
Because as IKEA teaches us, Christmas trees and Christmas decorations must have been removed by January 13, St. Knuts Day at the latest. If you only hang the Christmas decoration on Valentine’s Day on February 14, you have obviously lost control of your life.
It is a stunt to allude that people still have Christmas decorations well into January or February because they don’t have time or desire to put them away.

Why is that still hanging? It’s a little unfair to accuse Anthem here, they would have just forgotten. The Christmas decoration is part of the “Icetide” event that started at Anthem in December 2019. Since Bioware apparently had no further content ready for early 2020, the team decided to extend the event until February.
So it’s not like BioWare simply forgot Anthem, but it was a deliberate decision to let the event run longer so players could still get the rewards. Some players also wanted that.

Active Anthem players also answer: The event only lasts 3 days, that’s all okay.
How does Anthem continue? Nothing is officially known. The original plans for new content were replaced in September 2019 painted.
One only knows that BioWare plans major revisions to Anthem and does not want to talk about them until they are ready to be published. At BioWare you obviously have the impression that now only actions can help and words are of no use anyway.
According to an insider report, BioWare is working on a kind of “rework” for Anthem, which will then be called Anthem 2.0 or Anthem Next should be resurrected.
Since there are no visible signs of it yet and Anthem is also kept secret in EA’s annual reports, the game has to put up with some ridicule.
