Applegate has previously been honest about how her appearance has changed after she became ill, and that she can no longer walk without a cane.
Now the actress rages against internet trolls, who believe the changes in her appearance are due to failed plastic surgery.
“Sooo I made the stupid choice to look at some of the comments under an article in People Magazine about me and my kids,” she opened the post on Twitter with.
“Of course I told her it wasn’t very nice,” Applegate wrote further, attaching a screenshot of what is supposed to be the response she received in her inbox from the person.
“MS didn’t make you look like that, a plastic surgeon did”.
The comment makes the 51-year-old laugh, she says.
“What’s wrong with people. By the way, I’m laughing.”
The star had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed
On Monday, Applegate appeared at the Critics Choice Awards. It is the first award ceremony she has attended since 2019, and since she received her MS.
Multiple sclerosis, also known as MS, is according to The Directorate of Health a serious disease that mainly affects young adults.
The actor has been making more public appearances lately. After she was diagnosed, she kept a low profile for a long time.
In November last year, the actor, who is known from series such as “Our worst year”, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
