“We clarified earlier that any promotion, celebration or any other action and attitude contrary to Whitefield’s philosophy would not be tolerated. As a result, we regret to inform you that Kayla was fired from school with immediate effect,” the statement concludes.
Note that the rainbow is today a symbol recognized as supporting the LGBT movement. In her defense, the Christian school stressed in a statement sent to NBC News that the young woman had already taken other actions that went against the school’s philosophy and that photography on social networks was just the “drop of water”.

The Whitefield Academy chose not to comment on counseling sessions and did not mention the young woman’s behaviors that violated the code of school conduct.
