Chinese producers have quietly stopped deliveries to Russia

The Chinese company Huawei, which has been suppressed in recent years by Western sanctions, has had to limit itself to Eastern markets for these reasons. One of the most important customers was Russia, where it achieved and briefly held the first place in sales sometime in 2019/2020:

Brand share in the Russian market from 2019

Although since then Huawei in Russia has a significant part of the share lost (Xiaomi, Samsung and Apple according to current statistics is above), nothing significant does not change on the share in telecommunications infrastructure, where Huawei reaches about 40%.

The use of the past tense would probably be more significant, as Huawei stopped supplying all products to the Russian market in March, according to the Russian daily Izvestia. Similar reports are now emerging in relation to the Chinese company ZTE.

These events correspond to the March steps of the appointed brands, which, together with Western (Ericsson, Nokia, Microsoft, Oracle) assisted with the maintenance of Ukrainian telecommunications infrastructure.

Of the Western brands, Nokia has currently left the next Ericsson. Both ended their business activities here “indefinitely”.
