“A 39-year-old man and a 29-year-old sex worker have admitted to the illegal activities,” Beijing police said in an online post.
They were arrested after the authorities received information from the public.

While the police did not publish his full name in the notice, state media later confirmed that the arrested man was Li Yundi.

The news shocked many fans of the man known as China’s “Piano Prince”.
At the age of 18, Li became the youngest pianist and the first Chinese to win first prize at the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition in 2000.
