The Chinese Lin Zhu, seeded n°2, reached the quarter-finals of the Hua Hin tournament, dominating Linda Fruhvirtova without being disturbed by the score (6-2, 6-2) at the True Arena Hua Hin, Thursday in middle of the day.
Zhu, 45th WTA player in the world, will face the winner of the match between Australian Arina Rodionova and Chinese Zhuoxuan Bai in the quarter-finals of the Thai tournament.
The Chinese tennis player had eliminated Australian qualifier Taylah Preston (6-4, 7-5), before this meeting on Thursday against Fruhvirtova, ranked 126th in the WTA.
Linda Fruhvirtova clearly beat Russian lucky loser Anastasia Tikhonova (6-3, 6-1).
