According to the general manager of COMAC, the C929 passenger aircraft project has been successfully approved. COMAC said in the display that the C929 is expected to make its first flight around 2030.
COMAC also pointed out that the C929 is equipped with 280 seats, a maximum design range of 12,000 kilometers, a cruise speed of Mach 0.85, a maximum takeoff weight of 247.5 tons, a maximum landing weight of 190 tons, a maximum takeoff field length of 2,900 meters, and a maximum takeoff area of 1,900 meters.
