China Touches the Deepest Point on Earth and Digs the Moon

Jakarta

At about the same time, artificial technology China visit the deepest point of the Earth and also prepare to dig Month. This shows the high ambition of the Bamboo Curtain Country in the world of science.

First is the submarine Fendouzhe which has reached one of the deepest points of Earth, at a depth of 10,909 meters. Since the mission was held on October 10, Fendouzhe has dived 13 times in the Mariana Trench, the deepest area on Earth, in the western Pacific Ocean.

A depth of about 11 kilometers is a new record for China. The world record is still held by Victor Vescovo, an investor and adventurer who reached a depth of 10,934 meters last June.

Fendzhou is a Chinese-made diving vehicle that has been in development since 2016. Cited detikINET from China Daily, Tuesday (12/1/2020) the production involved around 1,000 scientists from 100 research institutions in China, both from universities and companies.

Thus, the success of reaching the deepest point on Earth becomes national pride for China. Indeed, more people are going into space from the deepest parts of the Earth. In 2010, the underwater vehicle called Jiolong has reached a depth of 3,759 meters and now Fendouzhe is able to reach even deeper.

Chinese President Xi Jinping also congratulated the scientists and engineers involved. He said that this achievement strengthened China’s position as a leading maritime country.

Currently, the Tansuo-1 research vessel carrying the vehicle has returned to China and has been greeted with great fanfare. The Fendhouze itself is indeed not an arbitrary vehicle because it is capable of carrying 3 crew members and facing huge pressure in the deep sea safely.

“This is mainly due to our breakthroughs in basic materials science and manufacturing techniques,” said Yang Rui, one of the scientists. China who designed Fendhouze.
