China Implements Export Controls on Drones to Limit Military Use

China has decided to introduce export controls on drones to limit their use in war.

The Chinese authorities announced the introduction of restrictions on the export of drones, as well as related equipment. Writes about it Reuters, which received a decree from the Chinese government. The restriction will take effect from September 1 this year and will directly affect some engines, lasers, communications and protection systems. The restrictions will also affect some civilian drones in an attempt to eliminate the possibility of their supply for military purposes.

Experts note that the Celestial Empire is one of the world’s main manufacturers of UAVs.

More than half of the drones sold in the United States are made by China’s DJI. It was she who developed and manufactures Mavic drones, which became widespread during the Ukrainian-Russian war.

DJI has already stated that it always strictly abides by the laws and regulations of the countries or regions in which it operates, including the export control regulations of the PRC.

Earlier it was reported that EW hunter drones would soon appear in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
