Finally, the Chile Help Chile campaign, led by the animator Don Francisco and designed from the emergency caused by Covid-19, set its realization for September 18 and 19, according to sources consulted by Third.
The television crusade will include the participation of the open TV channels associated with Anatel and the addition of other media is being evaluated, such as the stations belonging to Arcatel (Regional Association of TV Channels), as well as newspapers and written press.
Although the details of its broadcast are still being resolved, such as the hours it will be on screen, it is estimated that the special program will have similar characteristics to this year’s Telethon, which must have been carried out mostly virtually due to the sanitary conditions that existed then. .
The program will take place in the Teletón Theater itself, where the animators will be present either in person or virtually. Screens will be installed on stage that will give a 360 ° effect, somehow evoking the image of the traditional closing of the Telethon in the National Stadium.
The slogan, according to sources inside the organization of the initiative, will be to somehow celebrate these national holidays with all Chileans, take advantage of the motto of solidarity to transfer it to some celebrations that will be indoors, without diners or massive events. A few celebrations crossed by the health and economic crisis, and therefore, the focus will be on showing the anonymous heroes of the pandemic and the reality of the elderly.
The latter, one of the groups most affected by the current situation, will be precisely those who benefit from the money raised within the program: a decision that was made from conversations with different actors linked to the issue, led by the Catholic University, who have provided important support to set up this charitable crusade.
However, from the inside of the campaign they indicate that the economic collection will not be the main reason for the transmission, as is the case with Telethon.
